For the first time in its history, the 2026 Monte Rosa SkyMarathon – Europe’s highest race – will celebrate four races all above 3,000m altitude. The events, which will all be held on the same day, June 13, 2026, in Alagna Valsesia, Piedmont, Italy, will, as usual, enjoy the support of their sponsors and institutional partners.
As usual, Monterosa 2000, the cable car company based at the start of the courses, is a key partner. Last year, an incredible 1,300 people ascended on the lifts from Alagna, and Gressoney in the Aosta Valley, to cheer the athletes on the upper stretches above the snow line.
Monterosa 2000 Director, Andrea Colla, comments, “A new challenge, a new adventure, set against a sporting, scenic and natural backdrop unlike anywhere else in the world! Monte Rosa is ready to host the 2026 edition of the SkyMarathon and once again Monterosa 2000 will stand alongside the organisers to offer athletes and all those coming to cheer from the sidelines, a special and exciting day, which, for the first time, will feature no fewer than four competitions in succession!
“A big ‘good luck’ to all the competitors, wishing all the supporters an exciting day, and thanks to everyone whose work and dedication make all of this possible every time.”

Mico Sport, Italian producer of technical socks and apparel for sports performance, is once more a valued partner of the Monte Rosa SkyMarathon events, supplying their technical products in the race bags across all four events. “Alongside the Monterosa SkyMarathon for the fourth consecutive year means supporting not just a race, but a sport concept that enhances the territory and pushes athletes beyond their limits. It is a pleasure to contribute with our technical products, designed to protect performance in all conditions,” stated Giovanni Setti, Mico Sport board member. “With this collaboration, Mico Sport renews its mission: accompanying athletes in the most authentic and challenging competitions, where performance meets the mountains and nature takes centre stage.”

Marco Ticcò, Sport Marketing Specialist at SCARPA, Italian leader in mountain and outdoor running footwear, commented, “This year marks the sixth anniversary of our partnership with the Monte Rosa SkyMarathon – one of the most iconic and spectacular skyrunning competitions on the international stage.
“The mountaineering character of this extraordinary course across glaciers and high-altitude terrain, perfectly reflects the spirit of adventure and challenge that defines SCARPA. We are proud to support a race that embodies authenticity, respect, technical skill and passion – values shared by both the athletes and organisers who make this event so unique.”
Returning to support the events is Guidi, product manufacturer for the nautical industry. “Guidi enthusiastically renews its support for the sporting events promoted by AMA – Alagna Monterosa, reaffirming a bond that for years has united business, the local area and a passion for sport,” said Daniele Guidi.

“The Monte Rosa SkyMarathon is a highly prestigious event that best represents the spirit and energy of Valsesia. We are proud to stand alongside the organisation for the fifth consecutive year, and we look forward to experiencing another weekend of sport, sharing and participation together with the many athletes and enthusiasts who every year transform Alagna Valsesia into a landmark destination for mountain running.”
Gugliemina Bigmat, part of the largest European network of independent building material retailers, is present for the second year to support the events. Family member Lucia Guglielmina stated, “We would like to thank all those who dedicate their effort and passion in supporting the Monte Rosa SkyMarathon which embodies the values we also believe in – commitment, sacrifice but also the great satisfaction that comes at the end!”
Support along the way is always vital for the athletes, and, again this year, NamedSport will take care of their needs with supplements in the race packs and at the aid stations.
The organisers are pleased to announce new partner, Titus Mobility, an Italian company operating in the mobility and automotive sector, fleet management, and mobility solutions.

The Mayor of Alagna and Riva Valdobbia, Roberto Veggi, is a passionate supporter. “The Monte Rosa SkyMarathon is not just a sports event: it is the symbol of our identity. For Alagna, welcoming athletes from every corner of the world means celebrating our history, our mountains, and the vocation for high-altitude mountaineering that has always defined us.
“Running up to the 4,554 metres of the Margherita Hut, challenging the ice, the elevation gain and the altitude, requires courage and preparation that go far beyond mere competition. It is a tribute to the grandeur of Monte Rosa and, at the same time, a demonstration of deep respect for the unspoilt nature that surrounds us.
“As the mayor of the council and as a community, we are immensely proud to support this event. Behind the success of the SkyMarathon lies an extraordinary organisational machine, made up of mountain guides, rescue teams, volunteers and local citizens who work tirelessly to guarantee maximum safety in an environment as spectacular as it is demanding. To all of them goes my heartfelt thanks. Best of luck to everyone and welcome to the foot of Monte Rosa!”
RADIO VALSESIA will again attend with their live commentary as Media Partner.
The organising committee, AMA Asd, is pleased to count once more on their institutional partners: Piedmont Region, Vercelli Province, Alagna Valsesia and Gressoney la Trinité Councils and Consorzio Turistico Walser di Alagna Valesia, Unione Montana Valsesia, ATL Agenzia Turistica Locale Terre dell’Alto Piemonte Biella Novara Valsesia Vercelli.
In conclusion, thanks are extended to the indispensable assistance of the Mountain Guides, Rescue Service and the many volunteers who make this unique race possible.
